Benefit Ride In Memory of Steven Calloway

OWENSBORO, KY - On Saturday, July 24, approximately 30 bikes & riders from around the region braved the heat & humidity for one of their own.

This event brought out bikers to raise money for Steven Calloway, a fellow biker that was killed in an accident in Muhlenberg County on June 26. During the incident, both Calloway and the driver of the truck attempted to stop, but inevitably collided head-on.

The bikers met at Fred's Discount Store in Hartford to prepare for the ride, which was sponsored by Kentucky Cruisers. Several Christian bike groups were on hand for the benefit, including the Ambassadors For Christ, from Hartford and Beaver Dam; Soldiers For Christ, from Beaver Dam and Soldiers of the Truth from Henderson.

After the 50/50 drawing and a prayer for the Calloway Family and the safety of the riders, the group roared into the streets for a two hour ride, ending at the Ohio County Fairgrounds for a meal and fellowship. Barry Lindsey with the Kentucky Cruisers said the benefit raised over $900.00.
